SIG Digital Collaboration: Open source web conferencing with BigBlueButton

In this online-activity we will gain further experience with the open source web conferencing tool BigBlueButton – where we will try out some scenarios for collaboration and learning.

BigBlueButton is widely used at universities in Germany and offers integration with Moodle platforms. Since it is an open source solution, the usual data security problems we know from professional tools are not existent – the tool can be hosted on your own server or on a trusted server in Switzerland.

Together we will try out functionalities for online and hybrid learning, like break-out rooms, individual screen-settings and additional options for presentation and collaboration. In our meeting, we start with an introduction in Adobe Connect and switch then to BigBlueButton.
